Hollywood Regency style Italian glass front cabinet, c1970s. This Italian modular cabinet display case is in two parts: a tall slender display cabinet with smoke tinted glass doors above a chest of four drawers. This may be joined to a wider cabinet with the same tinted glass top section above a drawer, shelf and cupboard unit.

Each cabinet can be dismantled into two parts, the brushed steel sides slot into each other holding each module neatly together. The cabinets are heavy enough to be free standing, however they were previously screwed together for extra stability. The black grained veneer has vertical grain to the cupboard doors and horizontal grain to the drawers which contrasts nicely with the matt lacquered painted surface. Each cabinet is mounted with chrome handles and fittings and set on moulded plastic bun feet. Each top has the same grained veneer with a centrally fitted opaque panel to let light in. The backs are plain.

These cabinets are fitted with CEAM Italia hinges and are very much in the style of Willy Rizzo, Renato Zevi and Baughman for John Stuart.

This cabinet can be joined with the other Hollywood Regency modular display drinks cabinet listed.
