Douglas Snelling Low chair with cross woven black webbing. The chair is structurally in very good condition though the strapping has faded. The Low chair was designed by Snelling in Australia in the 1940s and is now included in the collections of the NGV and MAAS museums. The design was inspired by Jens Risom for Knoll in New York who in turn was inspired by Scandinavia’s Alvar Aalto. Not stamped. Most likely manufactured by Gordon Mather Industries after 1987.
