Vintage Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina Model 771 square side table. Acquired by the seller in the 1960s, this solid wood side table has a removable top that rests just inside the frame on wood pins. The pared back elegance of the squared legs and top are typical of the designs of husband and wife Italian design duo Afra and Tobia Scarpa. They designed iconic and highly sought after mid century pieces like the Soriana and Coronado sofas and the Africa dining chairs. The side table is in original condition and shows signs of wear commensurate with age, such as scratches in the wood especially around the legs. The top is in very good condition.
