ClassiCon Eileen Gray Grand Day Bed. Designed by Gray for her Maison au Bord de Mer on the Cote d’Azur, this day bed is rightly counted to be among her most famous designs. Whilst being beautiful in its simplicity, it is also incredibly functional.  It can be accessed from all sides and is visually pleasing from all perspectives. It is the ideal showpiece to be placed freely in a spacious room. The daybed has been upholstered in Kvadrat fabric Hallingdal 65, number 573, by Nanna Ditzel. Purchased from Anibou this piece is brand new and only been taken out of the packaging to photograph!

About Eileen Gray: Eileen Gray’s achievement in design and architecture is considered pioneering work of Modernism. During her lifetime, she was honoured by the London Royal Society for Arts with the title Royal Designer for Industry, and she is one of few women mentioned in the same breath as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer.
