Designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia in the 1960s, these chairs were purchased in the mid 1970’s and re-upholstered in early 2000.  They can be configured as stand alone armchairs or as a sofa set up and there are clips that hold the chairs together. The chairs also come with cushions (grey with piped edge of the same fabric as the upholstery).  They are extremely comfortable and very stylish, with some normal wear and tear from use. Bellini’s chairs are undergoing a resurgence in Europe and this vintage brand is a must have for collectors. Can be purchased as a set or email via the contact form if you would like to discuss buying individually.

The Amanta model was the first piece designed by Mario Bellini for the beginnings of the Italian firm. It was inspired by the Barcelona chair of Ludwig Mies Van de Rohe in order to produce one of the very first modular sofas.
