Original Finish rustic Baltic pine wood dining table. Custom dining table crafted by Original Finish in Newtown. With elegantly proportioned tapered legs, this is a classic dining table to suit any style of home. Breadboard ends are joined with a loose tongue joint and secured with pegs that allows the timber to naturally expand and contract according to the humidity of the environment. The crafting of this loose tongue joint ensures the table will be free from splits and warping. This table was constructed from 150 year old Baltic Pine boards reclaimed from a Foreign Legion barracks.  This has been a family dining table for the past 10 years and although in good condition could do with a light conditioning and waxing. Original Finish apply a hardened shellac seal which has all the advantages of a natural material with an additional hardener to allow it to be used in a family setting. It is then buffed with a fine wax made from a mix of carnauba and bees wax. Recommended retail price over $6000.
